I put mine in a sleeve.the sleeve is sandwiched between 2 thick padded sections. And all of that is in the back-facing side of my backpack. (mostly because it's not 'my macbook'. But my Employers macbook. And I need to get as many years out of it as possible, and don't want to be responsible for any damage or impacts.
